Kannada Rajyotsava celebrated
Besant National PU College celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava on 1st November 2016 at Srinivas Kala Mandir, the auditorium of the college. Addressing the students on the occasion, Sri Roopakha, Lecturer in History of the college, said: “Celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava, which is a tribute to our beautiful land, should not be restricted to November 1st alone. Instead its celebration should be a reflected in our everyday lives.”
Smt. Ashalatha P., Principal of the college, staff and students were present on the occasion. Pooja and her troupe recited popular folk songs like ‘Jai Bharata Kanani Tanujathe’ and Nityotsava’. Student Mohan Aigal spoke regarding history of Unification of Karnataka. Pratham P. Bhandary, Secretary of Student’s Council proposed the vote of thanks.
Smt. Ajitha K., Lectrurer in Sanskrit, and Smt. Poornima Nayak, Lecturer in Hindi coordinated the programme. Muthulakhsmi was the Master of Ceremonies.
